Holly Hunter is a well-known American actor, producer, and director. Her work has been recognized by film producers for roles like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles and The Incredibles. Holly Hunter won many awards such as her first Oscar for her movie Piano. The accomplished actress started her acting career on the stage with an array of Broadway as well as Off-Broadway productions. From the time she was a child she's been passionate about performing. The actress was deaf in one ear due to Mumps, but she didn't have this limitation deter her determination to become an actress. Hunter had her Broadway debut when she had a chance meeting in the company of Beth Henley, a playwright. They collaborated for Broadway Crimes of the Heart.
